1. Information we handle

Information you enter

You may enter a WhatsApp phone number and an optional message. For the core chat feature, the website constructs a WhatsApp click-to-chat link in your browser. NumDirect does not need to create a contact or maintain a server-side address book for this feature.

Local browser data

Depending on the features you use, NumDirect may store templates, favourite numbers, recent numbers, theme preference and related settings in your browser's local storage. This data is intended to remain on your device and is not intentionally uploaded by the core NumDirect application.

Shared links

When you use the Share feature, NumDirect can create a self-contained link containing an encoded/encrypted payload with the destination number and optional message. The shared URL itself can contain information that identifies the intended WhatsApp destination. Anyone who receives the link may be able to use it to open the shared chat. Do not share a link containing information you do not want others to receive.

Backup files

If you create a NumDirect backup, the backup is generated in your browser and protected with a password using the encryption process implemented by the site. The resulting file is downloaded to a location you choose. NumDirect does not receive that file unless you separately upload or transmit it yourself.

Technical information

Like most websites, the hosting provider, browser, security systems, content delivery services or other infrastructure used to operate the site may process technical information such as IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, requested URLs and error or security logs. The exact information retained depends on the providers used to host and protect NumDirect.

2. How information is used

• To provide and operate NumDirect and its requested features.
• To open or prepare third-party communication services such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, SMS or phone calling when you choose those actions.
• To maintain site security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors and improve reliability.
• To comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
• If advertising or analytics are enabled, to provide, measure or improve those services in accordance with the applicable provider terms, consent choices and law.

3. Third-party services

NumDirect can link to or open third-party services, including WhatsApp/Meta, Telegram, Signal and your device's SMS/phone functions. Those services have their own privacy policies and terms. Once you leave NumDirect or interact with a third-party service, that provider's practices control the information it processes.

4. Advertising, Google AdSense and cookies

NumDirect may use Google AdSense or other advertising technology in the future. If advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to serve, measure or personalize advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law.

Google states that publishers using Google advertising products must maintain a privacy policy that discloses relevant data collection, sharing and use, including the use of cookies and similar technologies. When Google advertising is actually enabled on NumDirect, the site will use the applicable Google consent-management and privacy settings before serving ads where required. Users may also manage Google's advertising personalization through Google's available advertising controls. Google provides further information about how AdSense uses advertising cookies.

Do not add advertising code until the applicable AdSense privacy and consent setup has been completed. Your final implementation should reflect the actual vendors and technologies active on the site.

5. Cookies and local storage

The core NumDirect application may use browser local storage for locally saved preferences and data described above. Advertising, analytics, security or other third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can control cookies and site storage through your browser settings, although disabling storage may affect NumDirect features.

6. Data sharing and sale

NumDirect does not intentionally sell your locally stored templates, favourites or recent numbers to third parties. NumDirect may disclose information where necessary to service providers operating the website, advertising/analytics providers you have authorized or where required by law, court order or to protect the rights, safety and security of the service and its users.

7. Data retention

Local NumDirect data remains in your browser until you delete it, clear site data, use the application's clear-data controls or the browser removes it. Server or provider logs, if any, are retained according to the applicable provider's operational and legal requirements. NumDirect does not promise a specific retention period for infrastructure logs unless separately stated.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or consent withdrawal. You can also clear NumDirect's local browser data using the site's controls or your browser settings. Requests that concern third-party services, such as WhatsApp or Google, may need to be made directly to those providers.

9. Children's privacy

NumDirect is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to NumDirect through a channel we control, please contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

10. Security

NumDirect uses reasonable technical measures appropriate to a lightweight browser-based service. However, no website, browser storage system, transmission or backup method can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep passwords for encrypted backups private and do not share backup files or shared links unless you intend to.

11. International users

NumDirect may be accessed from countries other than the country where the service operator or hosting providers are located. Information processed by hosting, security, advertising or other providers may therefore be processed in other jurisdictions, subject to applicable law and the provider's terms.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the service, vendors, advertising technologies or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective or last-updated date.
